The arrested men are currently detained at the police headquarters in Asaba, the state capital.
At least 100 persons have been arrested by the Delta State Police Command at a gay wedding.
The men were reportedly holding a wedding ceremony in a hotel in the state before they were nabbed.
Delta Police confirmed the arrest in a tweet Tuesday morning and said the suspects would be paraded shortly.
The police said they received a tip-off about the wedding ceremony and raided the hotel.
Homos3xual relationships are illegal in Nigeria and punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
Sharing the tweet on Monday, the police wrote:
"Delta State Command have Arrested over hundred gay suspects in a hotel carrying out a gay wedding ceremony. We will be going Live Shortly on Facebook to parade the said Suspects"
