As part of the electioneering activities leading to the September 2023 Edo local government polls, the front runner for the Egor local government Chairmanship position and PDP Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Eghe Ogbemudia, has met local government leaders and party executives as well as party executives and leaders from the 10 wards in the council to intimate them on her plans and agenda to make Egor a better place.
She said that her decision to join politics is the yearning to make Egor the pride of all and to ensure that women, youths and all Egor residents have a feel of good governance.
She said, "I thank all the leaders in Egor for supporting me. I assure you that I will consolidate on all the great things I did in my first term. When I presented my stewardship in 2021 I made sure that every ward in Egor enjoy the dividends of democracy. I will continue to attract development to Egor because I have the pedigree and integrity and I will not let the good people of Egor down. Governor Obaseki has done so many good things for Egor People and I will do my very best to complement his good works."
Chairman of Egor PDP, Chief Manfred Ekundayo Idehen hailed Hon. Eghe Ogbemudia, stating that she did well in her first term and that is why she is being sent there again to finish her good works. On his part, Hon. Agharese Idubor said Hon. Eghe Ogbemudia has so many good projects to campaign with and she is the best candidate for the job.
Prayers were offered for the smooth conduct of the elections and success of Hon. Eghe Ogbemudia in the polls. Presented to the party include PDP councillorship candidates for the local council polls. Others present at the meeting include Mr Clifford Enabulele, Moses Godwin, Ikponmwosa Eguavoen, Christopher Aivienyor, Mrs Eguakun, and many others.
She also presented her manifesto which includes all her previous projects which drew great ovation and applause as they assured her of the needed support to win the forthcoming elections.
