The PDP's candidates who emerged victorious in the rerun elections are Hon. Destiny Oghayerio Enabulele from Ovia Southwest Constituency, Hon. Natasha Irobosa Osawaru from Egor Constituency, and Hon. Uyi frank Omosigho from Oredo East Constituency.
With the announcement, the PDP now has 15 seats, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) has eight seats, and the Labour Party (LP) has one seat in the state assembly elections.
The PDP's victory in the supplementary election is a significant boost for Governor Godwin Obaseki and is a testament to his achievements as Governor.
Now, with the PDP's majority further strengthened, Governor Obaseki will have even more support for his people-centric policies and initiatives. The PDP's continued dominance in the state assembly is also a sign that the party is gaining momentum in the state, and could help to solidify its position ahead of future elections.
The PDP candidates are expected to work to effectively represent their constituencies and deliver on their campaign promises.
