Petroleum explorationists commend Obaseki for developmental strides, seek more areas of collaboration

The Edo State Commissioner for Mining and Energy, Eng. Ethan Uzamere has played host to the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist led by their President, Elliot Ibie.

At a courtesy call at the Ministry last week, the body indicated interest in collaborating with the state government in various areas to improve the economy of the state.

They also commended the State Governor, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki for his developmental strides evident in all areas of the state's economy.

Uzamere commended them for the visit adding that the Ministry will ensure that collaboration between both parties is given priority to improve the state's economy. 

Elliot Ibie is the President of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE). Ibie was installed as the 45th President of the 47-year-old Association at the recently concluded 40th yearly International Conference & Exhibition of the Association held in Lagos.

NAPE is the largest professional association of petroleum geologists and related disciplines in Nigeria and Africa. Members include geologists, geophysicists, CEOs, managers, consultants, students, and academicians
