Edo Mining, Oil and Gas Ministry's solid mineral sector stakeholder's forum underway



The Edo State Ministry of Mining, Oil and Gas two-day stakeholder's forum with relevant stakeholders is currently underway at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy in Benin City, Edo State. 

Already at the venue includes the Honorable Commissioner for Mining, Oil and Gas, Mr. Ethan Uzamere and his Information and Orientation counterpart, Honorable Barr. Adaze Emwanta, Commissioner for Environment and Sustainability, Engineer Jonathan Lawani.

Stakeholders including the Federal Government's Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Women in Mining, Miners Association of Nigeria, are also present.


The program's theme is "Addressing the gaps in the Mineral sector of Edo State,"
and is being led by Hon. Ethan Uzamere.

The forum is part of efforts to position the state as a leader in Nigeria's mining industry and to further diversify its economy in line with the goals of the state's helmsman, His Excellency Mr. Godwin Obaseki, the Executive Governor of Edo State. The Ministry's series of forums will prepare the State to make sure she reaps the full rewards of mining.
