In preparation ahead 2023 elections in Edo state, one of the Senior Special Assistant, SSA to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state, Comrade Abdulrasheed Adogamhe has held political talk with women in Iyate-Jattu, Etsako West LGA of Edo state.
The meeting was aimed at mapping out strategies to ensure that the fourth coming elections in the state is to the victory of the People Democratic Party, PDP.
Comrade Adogamhe said the periodic meeting is to remind the women of their unwavering role in the past elections for PDP where victory was recorded. He said for same to be done again, there is need for the women to be more dedicated and committed to deliver the party.
Comrade Adogamhe assured the women of more and better concern as reward for their support and votes for PDP. The SSA added that the state government through the Deputy Governor of the state, Rt. (Hon) Comrade Philip Shaibu has promised to reward handsomely those who worked for the success of the party.
Similarly, Comrade Adogamhe however, urged the women to get their Permanent Voter's Card, PVC ready to retain the party in the next elections. He further tasked them to canvass for more women to join the winning team.
Speaking on behalf of the women, Udo Monica said the party that believe in their wellbeing is PDP and so, they are ready to deliver the party with their PVC. Monica further noted that with PDP, the dividend of democracy has gotten to them while they hope for more and better to come.
In the same vein, Monica thanked the convener of the meeting, comrade Abdulrasheed Adogamhe for the initiative to have such forum. She said, it helped them to be more united, committed and prepare to make another wonderful success for PDP in the coming elections in the state.
