Shaibu Mourns Demise of Edo South PDP Chieftains, Uyigue, Aguebor

Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has expressed shock over the demise of Elder Sunny Uyigue and Hon. Sunday Aguebor, two prominent PDP Chieftains from Edo South.

In a condolence message, Shaibu lamented the loss of the duo to the cold hands of death, describing their passing as " a collosal loss to their immediate families, the PDP family and indeed, Edo State".

According to the Deputy Governor, "Elder Uyigue was a formidable grassroots politician cum dogged mobilizer who always stood on the side of the masses and spoke truth to power".

"He was a jolly good fellow who actively participated in partisan politics, since the advent of the present democratic dispensation in 1999.

He would be sorely missed by all, particularly at this critical period when his wise counsel would have come handy in the build-up to the 2023 general elections".

"For me, the passing of Hon. Sunday Aguebor is one loss too many. He was a calm and calculated iconic politician whose loyalty to our great party, the PDP was never in doubt".

"He was a purposeful parliamentarian and a vocal voice of his constituents when he represented the good people of Egor and Ikpoba-Okha at the green chambers of the National Assembly in Abuja".

"Indeed, Hon. Aguebor remained steadfast to the PDP through thick and thin and kept faith with the ordinary people".

"It is with a deep sense of loss that l commiserate with the two bereaved families and may God Almighty accept the repose of their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed through His divine mercy".
