Shaibu Congratulates Adeleke, Osun Governor-Elect, says it's victory for democracy

Edo State Acting Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has congratulated the Governor-Elect of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his well deserved victory at the gubernatorial polls.

In a congratulatory message, Shaibu described the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate over his All Progressives Congress (APC) opponent and incumbent Governor of Osun State, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, "as a breath of fresh air in the political evolution of Osun State.

He noted : " the good people of Osun State have done well for themselves and generations yet unborn by setting the state free from the jackboot of political godfathers who do not mean well for Nigeria's politics".

"That our candidate, Senator Adeleke, to have won the governorship election by the popular will of the people and the grace of God Almighty, against the intimidating and repressive tendencies of the APC, is a testament to the popular maxim;the voice of the people is the voice of God".

According to the Acting Governors, "the victory of Senator Ademola Adeleke at the governorship polls is an eye-opener that Nigerians are fed up with the deceitful change mantra of the APC and are ready to embrace the PDP as a better and credible choice for the good of the people".

He added:"I wish to congratulate the Governor-Elect on his well deserved victory and more importantly, the good people of Osun State, for their resilience and trust in the PDP. Obviously, this is a positive development for Nigeria's politics as the 2023 general elections beckon".

"Our great party, the PDP is poised to resetting Nigeria for the good of all, irrespective of tribe or religious beliefs".

"Senator Adeleke's victory is victory for democracy, a breath of fresh air in the political turf, resonating loudly and clearly that the good people of Osun State have spoken to keep faith with democratic ideals".
