ikosamede.com can report that the Edo State Acting Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu and the Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor, Osaigbovo Iyoha penultimate Friday tasked Edo youth on the need for voter registration and participation in the electoral process.
This was made known when they joined the well-meaning Edo youths at their organised Permanent Voters Card concert in Benin City.
According to the Acting Governor, "With
eight months to another defining moment for Nigeria as a nation, I commend the youths for this initiative and I am elated in their involvement in shaping the country through their franchise."
"Your Voters Card remains your weapon and I advise you to keep up the good work and remain focused on the agitation."
He also encouraged them to be more deliberate in increasing the awareness of every reachable area of the state and encouraged others to get their PVC.
"Above all, don't just get your PVC, don't sit at home or play football on election day, get your PVC and vote right," he added.
