President Buhari is currently in UAE, hence the "reason" for the rescheduling. However it is unclear if the Presidency will assent even when he returns just as INEC has stated their unwillingness to extend deadlines for the primaries.
For purpose of clarity, the currently confirmed dates for State House of Assembly remains Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 8:00am to 12 noon; while the House of Representatives Primaries to elect our House of Representatives candidates will also hold on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 2:00 pm.
