BREAKING: Orbih, Ogbeide-Ihama count losses as INEC takes custody of Edo LG delegates congress results, officials commend success of exercise

Orbih, Ogbeide-Ihama and other co-travelers are reportedly counting their losses as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has taken custody of the results of the recently concluded Edo LG delegates congress.

Chairman of the Edo State PDP Local Government National Delegates Congress Committee, Mr. Nengi Talbot presented the results to INEC officials at the commission’s office in Benin City.

Speaking to journalists while presenting the result to INEC, the chairman of the committee said they successfully conducted the national delegate election across the 18 local councils of Edo State.

He said, “In my hand is a copy of the result we just submitted to INEC. With this submission today, we have completed the national assignment given to us by the PDP national.

“We have successfully conducted the local government congress across all local government areas in the state.”

Recall that there were reports in the past few days of moves by the Orbih and Ogbeide-Ihama duo to thwart the delegates list. With this acceptance of the results by the party and its onward receipt by INEC, the duo are indeed in the losing side.
