ICON OF THE WEEK: Hon. Engr. Osaigbovo Iyoha (READ ABOUT HIM)

Osaigbovo Toni Iyoha is an Edo State politician and an engineer who was a member of the State House of Assembly and represented Oredo East Constituency, from 2015 to 2019, where he attained the position of Chief Whip.

He was born on July 6, 1973, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ambrose Alli University and a Masters of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Benin, UNIBEN.

He also served as the Special Adviser to the performing and amiable Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Mr Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki on Political Matters, Edo South, where his sagacity and deft political moves culminated in overwhelming victory of Mr. Godwin Obaseki in Edo South and Edo State by extension in the last gubernatorial election.

He is presently concluding a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from UNIBEN and is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.

He was recently appointed Chief of Staff to Governor Godwin Obaseki because he is a resourceful, dependable and result-oriented professional with eighteen years’ work experience in Nigeria’s public and private sectors and his experience spans Construction, Legislation, Public Service, and Industrial Engineering.
